About Al Rowland

A former police officer and prosecutor who now puts that inside knowledge to work for people accused of crimes in Frisco and North Texas.

Attorney Al Rowland

He Has Seen Criminal Cases From Every Angle

Before he ever stepped into a courtroom as a lawyer, Al Rowland spent more than six years in law enforcement in his hometown of Savannah, Georgia. He worked crime scenes, investigated traffic collisions, and supervised patrol officers, so he knows how arrests are made and how police reports are written.

Al then spent over a decade handling auto insurance claims before earning his law degree at Texas A&M University School of Law. As an attorney, he has served as both a prosecutor and a defense lawyer, in Texas and in Colorado. Today he uses that perspective to spot the gaps in the State’s evidence that others might miss.

His Frisco practice is deliberately small. When you hire the firm, Al is the lawyer who reviews your evidence, talks with the prosecutor, and stands next to you in court.

What You Can Expect

The way we handle a case matters as much as the result.

The State Must Prove It

Every element, every time. We don’t accept the police report at face value, and we don’t recommend a plea until we know the evidence.

No Judgment

Good people get arrested. You’ll be treated as a person with a job, a family, and a future, not as a case number.

You Make the Big Calls

We lay out the risks of each option in plain terms. Whether to accept an offer or go to trial is your decision, and you’ll have what you need to make it.

Aggressive When It Counts. Strategic Always.

Good criminal defense is not about posturing. It is about preparation — knowing the facts better than the prosecutor, spotting constitutional violations, and knowing when to negotiate and when to try the case.

That preparation is what earns leverage, and leverage is what earns results: dismissed charges, reduced offenses, alternatives to jail, and paths to sealing your record.

  • Thorough investigation

Police reports, body-cam and dash-cam video, lab records, and witness interviews.

  • Constitutional challenges

Motions to suppress evidence from unlawful stops, searches, and interrogations.

  • Honest counsel

A straightforward assessment of your case, your risks, and your options.

  • Willing to try the case

Prosecutors make better offers when they know the defense is ready for a jury.
